What is this jewelry making metal piece called?

I am looking for a jewelry making piece to make earrings. It is pretty much a hollow tube with a loop on the top. I have some already i'm just looking for the name or any ideas so i can buy them in wholesale on ebay! Thanks so much and i'll give points for best answer.
