How to make videos in Powerpoint loop continuously?

I am doing an assignment for school and I was wondering how I would go about making a video in powerpoint continuously play by itself? Would this work on Powerpoint 2007? Does the video clip have to be accessible to the powerpoint or will it be part of the file itself?
